| After
doing survey for three months and talking to pastors and parents from more than
30 villages. We analyzed that the main problem behind the non-development of our
Christian families in several areas is the lack of money. And this lack of money
situation is due to the fact that all of these families are living a low level
life and doing low level jobs. The literacy rate among them is one to two percent,
which is way below any standard. The biggest reason for such crisis is lack of
affection and concentration by the Christians living in urban areas who are well
settled. Not much work is done in this field for years. Ministries here have never
thought seriously about this problem. The only thing they have done is arranging
a crusade or prayer meeting in these areas. We feel that by giving some money,
cloths, gifts and meal we may win these poor children's heart for a month but
in long term we have given them nothing, because after that they are back to their
same status. Ministries here have made their back accounts high but these people
are in the same structure where they have been for years. For last two decades
the mentalities of parent have also changed a lot too because our parent also
lived in villages but they studied and got good jobs. Now parent don't want their
children to study. Its not that they really don't want them to study but they
don't see future any different to their present after educating their kids. Another
main factor is the rapid increase of cost in the entire factor. People are unable
to run their home by what they earn so ultimately they have to force their children
to work instead of studying. Lack of schooling in rural areas also adds to the
number of problems faced in this sense. This problem is unseeingly destroying
the future of Christian community through out Pakistan. Even Christians in developed
cities are hampered by this problem. Under these circumstances the current situation
of Christian community is under big stress which could lead to severe consequences.
Education is the basic need of any developed country, community, family or a person.
Without it the progress in any field of life is impossible. After visiting some
of these areas, one realizes that it's not a problem of small caliper. Many desperate
measures are required to be taken to save it from more destruction. It may require
several years, maybe decades to bring it to international standards but one has
to start now or it might be too late.
