POLYTECH
BANDS NEWS
WEEK OF JULY 25, 2005

To the students of the POLYTECH Band Program: I have resigned as the band director at POLYTECH High School. I accepted the position as band director at Kent Island High School in Stevensville, MD. It is a decision I felt was important for me to move forward in my career. We are all faced with difficult decisions in our life. This was a major decision I had to face. You, as students of POLYTECH, made a similar decision. You decided to leave the comfort and friends of your home school district to better prepare yourself scholastically and vocationally at POLYTECH. Sometimes, what life throws at us may not be easy or fair. However, it can only make us better. The POLYTECH band program will continue to move on and improve in the coming years. It is up to you, as the membership, to not let this obstacle get in the way. Because I am still on Delmarva, I will make every attempt to visit the band when you perform. The high school office has my contact information if you want to keep in touch. I wish you the best of luck for the 2005-2006 school year and everything you do beyond this year.
