| POLYNESIAN LUAU 2002 A polynesian luau is scheduled for September 14th at the Gateway of the Rockies Event Center from 5:30-9:30 P.M. Venue is located at Fitzsimons, 13659 E. 17th Place, Aurora Colorado. Ticket prices are: $20.00/adult and $10.00/child. Price of tickets includes dinner and entertainment. Polynesia-Pacifica Foundation of Colorado is hosting a series of educational workshops for 2002: 1. May 18th (Sat) from 1-3:30 pm � Learn how to make a Haku Lei with fresh flowers from Kelly Davis of Molokai, Hawaii. Take advantage of this workshop offered only once this year. A lei sell for $35 to $45 in Hawaii. Fee is $35/person for members and $45/person for non-members. Fee includes lesson and fresh flowers. This workshop is limited to 30 registrants. 2. June 29th (Sat) from 1:4:00 pm �Basic Hula Workshop by Mark Chun of Huaka�I O Na �Ilima under the direction of Kumu Hula Patrick Makuakane of Nai Lei Hulu I Ka Weihu. Learn the basic steps of hula and techniques from the best. Fee is $35/person for members and $45/person for non-members. This class is limited to 30 registrants. 3. July 27th (Sat) from 1-3:30 pm � Satin Lei Workshop � Learn how to make leis from satin fabric. Joann Rosenbaum of Boulder will teach you how to make leis from satin fabric. A lei sell for $60 in Hawaii. Finish product looks fabulous and will last forever. Fee is $20/person for members and $35/person for non-members. This class is limited to 30 registrants.
