Name: Martin Snyder

Description:

       Often sought after for homework help, Martin is the school's genius.  Known for his straight A's and ability to win the Spelling and Geography Bee every year since 3rd grade, Martin has definitely established himself in the academic life at the school.   However, his social life is not quite as full as his academic one. He is trying to broaden his social horizons, and is now playing the oboe in the school band and is serving as the Chess Club President. Although he may not be quite up to date on what the average student wants, he would give 110% to the job.

Platform:

School Uniforms:   "I agree with the idea of school uniforms. Uniforms would allow students to stop looking at what people wear, and look more at who they are. Plaid school uniforms would be the best guess, with boys wearing plaid pants, turtlenecks, and sweaters, and the girls wearing plaid skirts, turtlenecks, and sweaters."

School Dances:   "I definitely want to keep the dances at the pavilion, because I really love to jump and jive! I say we create a fundraiser to make money for the dances. We could start a dance fund in order to keep the dances alive. So then we can all get jiggy with it!"

Vending Machines: "I believe that the vending machines are important to us students, but we have not been responsible with the trash around our school. By creating a branch of the Environmental Club that places trash receptacles around school, we can work together to clean it up! This will help us to get our vending machines turned back on, and reinforce the old school rule: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle!"
