| What do you consider to be your top 5 professional accomplish-ments? - Defended states blanket primary system in being upheld. - Was Council for the Environment. Made sure dams and the environment were being protected: protected thousands of acres of wildlife habitat in three separate instances, preserved salmon in twelve separate rivers, blocked two nuclear power plants. - Secured 9th congressional district to our state. - Secured Washington State's soldier's votes to be counted while they were overseas. - Secured public disclosure and open meetings protection. Caught agencies violating the laws and secured massive penalties. What organizations are you a member of? - Local YMCA - State Bar association - Harvard alumni - UW alumni What do you feel is the appropriate role of a Supreme Court Justice in relation to constitutional interpretation? - To defend the constitution as written and every freedom for every person.
