What do you consider to be your top 5 professional accomplish-ments?

     - Receiving the Steward of Justice award given by
       Attorney General Christine Gregoire.

     - Being president of the Washington State Bar
       Association.

     - Arguing in Federal District Court:
Hallet v. Payne which
       resulted in the decision for women's prisons to
       provide adequate mental health and dental services.

     - Organized two statewide conferences on domestic
       violence.

     - President of Washington Women's Lawyers.

What do you feel is the appropriate role of a Supreme Court Justice in relation to constitutional interpretation?

     - Those justices strictly apply the constitution based on
        the language and intention of its authors.

What previous state or U.S. Supreme Court decisions do you find particularly significant or important and why?

Brown v. Board of Education because it integrated the
       school system and respected the dignity of every
       person.
