Mauville
Game Corner
|

|
The Mauville Game Corner allows people to place bets with
coins at the slots or at the Pokémon Roulette. However, a coin
case is required to play, otherwise players won't have any place
to keep their game coins in! |
| In a house next door to the Game Corner (near the southern
entrance of the city) is a lady who is so desperate to get some
Harbor Mail, that she will even give away her coin case to someone
who brings it to her from Slateport City! |

Rydel's
Cycles
|

|
In the northeastern part of the city, Rydel's Cycles is located.
This bike shop sells two types of bikes. The Acro bike (which can
do a lot of neat tricks) and the Mach bike (which can run at
incredibly high speeds). Rydel is a generous man and he will
switch biker's bikes at any time. |
There are certain places in Hoenn that are only accessible with
a certain bike. The Mach bike, for instance, allows bikers to zip
up small slippery sand falls that exist throughout Hoenn and zip
over fragile floor that cracks upon stepping due to its speed.
The Mach bike
also qualifies for the speed and collision challenge
on Cycling Road. However, this is
only because it's harder to turn than the Acro bike. |

Pokémon
Gym
| Gym Leader Wattson is famous because he helped plan out and
construct Mauville City. He even made a special secret
underground facility called New Mauville!
His gym is filled with trainers that, like himself, use
electric-type pokémon
Wattson's Gym is sort of tricky. He has switches laid out all
throughout it that activate or deactivate certain electrical
doors. |

Pokémon
Daycare Center
|

|
A little ways to the left of Mauville City is Hoenn's
one-and-only Pokémon Daycare Center. Here, trainers can leave up
to two of their pokémon and the old couple at the daycare will
take care of them and raise them for the trainer. |
| The Daycare Man stands outside the daycare and always informs
the trainer as they pass by how their pokémon at the daycare are
doing. The Daycare Lady stands inside and worries about charging
money, receiving and returning pokémon. |

|
|

|
If two pokémon (a male and a female) of the same
egg group are left here, they might produce an egg! From the egg, an un-evolved
form of the female parent will hatch. |
