Against the dark of night, A lighthouse stands tall and strong. Seeking out wayfaring sailors, Standing watch all night long.
In storms and waters raging, It is the lighthouse that men seek. To draw them in, safely home, Away from waters, rough and bleak.
The lonely lighthouse, almost forgotten, A sailor's closest friend. When all seemed lost and hopeless, Her light would bring them in.
A manmade nightlight beaming, Through all perils known to man. It's light always burning steady and true, Bringing men safely to land.
As a mother would tuck her children in, And protect them with all her might. The mighty lighthouse protects her own, And brings them home at night.
