| This poem is dedicated to the one I love, Words that are drawn from my soul. The love I have for you has grown, You are the one who makes me whole.. When we first talked, we didn't have a clue, We had to discover each other's ways. It was very rough at the beginning, Everyday representing a new phase. I knew nothing about the life he had led, He knew less that that about mine. There were so many times I knew, Our relationship was laying on the line. It has taken months and months, Now at long last we have arrived. To the point that without the other, Neither of us would be able to survive... Misconceptions,along with doubts, Yes, we've been through all of that. Many times it would have been so easy, To toss it away, throwing in the hat... Perseverance, understanding, and love, Forgiveness for mistakes often made. All these things that lay the foundation, For a love that would never fade. My love for you is forever, Two souls that have been united. You are like none other I have ever known, You keep our fires of passion ignited. You took me by the hand, and I followed you, You showed me love as I have never had. You've made me laugh and you've made me cry, And yes, you've made me raving mad... We ran hot, and then ran cold, There were times we didn't speak for days. But all this has to be expected, When you are learning your lover's ways. When you love someone, enough to give them your heart, You place so much trust in their hands.. But in loving them you will find in return, Someone who always understands...
