Closing Time

Since the return of the very popular Electric Light Parade and the fact that many visitors are traveling with young children, this makes for a mass exodus from Magic Kingdom at the end of the day, beginning around 9:30 pm each evening. You may choose to skip the parade and try to get on some rides when the crowds are down. Just know that it will catch up with you when you try to leave later. The monorail station is packed. Ferry boats to the resorts are less crowded. About the only way to avoid this is to leave early, but then you will have to miss the fireworks and Tinkerbell's descent from the top of Cinderella's castle (Tinkerbell is real!). For any Disney fan, this is a very special feature, so it may be worth the hassles.

The shuttles, monorails and buses are crowded at each park near closing time, but Magic Kingdom is the most crowded of all.
