THE END OF LOCAL NEWS?  ("WHAT?" - Martin Clunes)
Woodsey here.  You'll probably be wondering what on earth the previous page was about.  And with good cause too, I'd imagine.

THE END OF LOCAL NEWS is (supposed to be) a jokey newspaper page, but with some words edited out and other, completely inappropriate, words
edited in.  So you can't see the join.

Thus, when the original story is typed in, (usually taken from a local newspaper, hence the title) words such as 'a beautiful display' could become 'a horrid display' subverting the original meaning and providing some comic relief much needed in today's world.

So, sorry to be patronising to all the people who got it, but we've found out that a lot of people didn't get it.  I remain unmoved.  But you might like to know that THE END OF LOCAL NEWS first started on Paul's own web page,
www.geocities.com/spirit_of_the_pixies (he'll kill me for that link) before it was pilfered for our PLANET MORON, and it was, in actual fact, he who named the page THE END OF LOCAL NEWS, wisely not considering my idea for a title.  And you don't want to know what that was.

No, really you don't.  Just forget I mentioned it.

Really.

Oh, go on then.
