Music Gone Haywire Presents

Death To False Metal!

Four Kings of Metal, Four Metal Kings!

(Pictured L-R: Karl Logan, Joey DeMaio, Eric Adams, and Scott Columbus.)

Prepare to Blow Your Speakers, as it were! You've just navigated to the section devoted to the band that I think best encapsulates the Heavy Metal sound. That band goes by the name Manowar, and it's members have been riding hard and playing loud for over 20 years. This is NOT the kind of run-with-the-crowd pseudo-metal that has reared its ugly head lately. This is pure, True Metal! It's the kind of music that you crank your car stereo to 11 while listening to it. It's the kind of music that makes you want to go over to Afghanistan yourself and massacre a few hundred Al-Qaeda. And all of this is from an American band! It's no wonder that Manowar have some of the most devoted fans, not only in this country, but around the world. And Manowar give their fans everything they want and more!

I first got into Manowar when I saw one of their CDs at the local Sam Goody store. The thing that first caught my attention was their trademarked logo. Being very much into multimedia as well as good music, I decided to take a chance on them based on the logo and the playlist on the back of the CD case (The CD I was looking at happened to be "The Triumph Of Steel"). I actually "previewed" that CD, thanks to CDNow.com, and I liked what I heard, so I bought my first Manowar CD. I haven't regretted that decision since. With this section, I hope to give y'all a taste of what this band's about, and showcase their music and message. With that having been said, HAIL AND KILL!!

The Kings of Metal:

Joey DeMaio - bass, keyboards
(One of the founding fathers of the Kingdom of Steel, along with Ross The Boss. This man plays bass like you would NOT believe!)

Ross The Boss - guitar
(Another founding father of the Kingdom, and Axeman Supreme from "Battle Hymns" to "Kings Of Metal.")

Karl Logan - guitar
(This guy got his start in the Kingdom with "Louder Than Hell." He can surely play a wicked axe!)

Eric Adams - vocals
(The original lead singer from the early '80s. Eric's voice can be brutal, majestic, and soft, all in the same song. Simply an awesome singer!)

Donnie Hamzik - percussion
(Although Donnie only played drums on "Battle Hymns," he helped give the Kingdom the start it needed on its quest to conquer the world.)

Scott Columbus - percussion
(If you're looking for some of the fastest beats and pounding rhythms around, Scott's your man.)
