Patti Shreiner of Shohola, Pennsylvania, is a graduate of Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. She has been quilting since 1995, began embroidering as a teenager, and started collecting items suitable for use on a crazy quilt in childhood. When not stitching Patti spends her time outdoors searching for both flora and fauna.

Incorporating her love of beads, stones, and needlework into quilts, she creates small works of multi-media art. Her eye for dimension and color help to create small textile invitations to touch. Among her current passions are hand applique, machine quilting, and knitting socks.

In 1999 Patti won a blue ribbon in the Miniature category for "Dawn At The River" at the Milford Valley Quilters Guild Show. The quilt was sold shortly thereafter, and currently resides in a private collection in Ankara, Turkey. Many of her other works are in private collections in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Since then her works have won many ribbons on the local level.

One of Patti's pieces is pictured, in Miniature Quilts, Issue 52, in an article she wrote about miniature quilt making in her guild. Other examples of Patti's work can be seen in
Bonnie Lyn McCaffery's book Fantasy Floral Quilts on pages 35, 59, and 65.

An active member of the
Milford Valley Quilters Guild since 1995, she has held many board positions including President, Treasurer, Librarian, and various Show Committee positions, and is now the program chair. Patti is also a lifetime member of the Embroiderers' Guild of America. She is President of the Delaware Highlands Chapter of EGA and the Education Chair for the Metropolitan Region of EGA.

In 2000 she was awarded a scholarship to the annual
Crazy Quilt Society Conference in Omaha, Nebraska. In 2001 she made a guest appearance on the 28 Today Show, WBRE Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

Each year Patti hosts a number of 3 to 5 day workshops at the
Pocono Environmental Education Center in Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania. Topics range from quilting and crazy quilting to knitting. Currently she is scheduling lectures and needlework workshops throughout the United States.
