So Why do I like Evander?

The Rematch

You just knew these two would meet again, after a fight like the first one. Team Tyson wouldn't let thier man go down like that, and of course they needed to create controversy surrrounding the headbutting (which was initiated by Tyson.) While I was shocked at the finish of the first fight, nothing would've prepared me for what happened in the rematch.

Mike Tyson showed his 'true colors' during the rematch and let his temper get the best of him. He truly believed that Holyfield was butting him, so Tyson did the only thing he could think of, since he could not beat Holyfield at boxing. He bit him, not once but twice. This was the poorest display of sportsmanship I've ever seen in boxing.

All the time that I was a fan of Tyson, I knew he was a bad seed outside of the ring. I didn't care because the man could fight. I just loved watching him knock people out. With this incident he contaminated the last thing that was pure in his life. I lost all respect for Tyson because of this fight. Even after the fight, Tyson was angry and looked like he wanted to fight the interviewer.

I was so angry when this happend. I was yelling at the TV and at anyone in the room who tried to defend Tyson's actions (especially with that lame headbutt defense. Tyson caused the headbutts when he charged into Holyfield. This happened the first fight, and it happend this time too. Holyfield's other opponents don't get headbutted.)

Then it was time for Evander to give his interview. I thought he would be angry, even a little, but once again he came across like a true champion and praised God. He was calm, cool and rational. I gained even more respect for Evander after this fight, once again for the way he handled himself in an extreme situation. I don't know how he did it, but I wish I could as calm as Evander if I was in a situation like that.
