The following league-mandated code of conduct will exist for all coaches, players, and parents as agreed to by their signature. There will be absolutely NO exceptions to these rules for any staff, parent, or player. Please be aware that, in addition to the league in-game penalties, the PJYA program/staff reserves the right to enforce its own disciplinary actions against offending individual(s) as follows:
1st Offense with confirmation: Parent/player/coach is warned by head coach or PJYA board member.
2nd Offense with confirmation: Parent/player/coach will be asked by head coach or PJYA board member to leave the field.
3rd Offense with confirmation: Participating child will be dismissed from the game in session or next game.
4th Offense with confirmation: Participating child will not play for the remainder of the season.
Again, we don't anticipate any problems, but must ensure that the environment we play and practice in remains a fun and positive experience for all.
EVW Football No Talk Rule
Agreement Form
Please read the following definition of the rule, sign the bottom of the sheet and return it to your coach. By having the
parents sign this form we can be assured that everyone is aware of the rule and its consequences.
No Talk Rule Definition:
The Head Coach for each team is responsible for the actions of his or her coaching staff and the parents and family
members of their players. The Referee Crews will not respond to anyone on the field or in the stands except the Head
Coach.
If a Referee feels they are being treated in an unsportsmanlike manner by a coach or a spectator, a flag will be
thrown and a 15-yard personal foul penalty will be assessed. At this point the Head Referee will tell the Head Coach
of the team violating the No Talk rule why the penalty was assessed and stop the clock for 1 minute so the Head
Coach can address the problem. After 1 minute has elapsed the Head Referee will again talk to the Head Coach of
the team violating the No Talk rule to make sure the problem has been addressed.
If a second flag needs to be thrown for the same problem, regarding the same team within the same game, the team
violating the No Talk rule will forfeit the game.
I understand the No Talk rule and the severity of the punishment to my childs team.
Parents Signature:
In addition, we also want the parents to understand that we are proud of the manner in which the parents, family
members and friends of the players conduct themselves. It has been the actions of a very small minority of people
that have prompted this decision. The E.V.W. Board of Directors and the Board of Directors from the participating
communities are simply being proactive with this situation now instead of reactive in the future.
We appreciate everything you as parents do for the league and are looking forward to a fun filled 2007 season.
