Indoor Marching Concert slated for Nov. 16!

The traditional end-of the season Indoor Marching Concert will be held in the Central School Gymnasium at 7:30 PM on Friday, November 16th. The concert will feature a stand-still version of the Arrows' 2001 Fall Show, "The Pirates of Lake Mendota," and also their parade tune, "Explocin." The evening will also include skits by the Trumpet and Baritone sections, led by Mindy Cunningham and Casey Carmody, respectively. Various awards will be presented, and director Michael Hench will address the crowd.

Pursuit of Excellence Results!

The Arrows turned in a strong Parade performance on Saturday, capturing 1st Pace in Crimson Class by a full 16 points. Due to inclimate weather, the field performance was moved inside to SSU's RA Facility, and the competition was turned into a stand-up performance based on Percussion, Music, and Guard. The Arrows came out well indoors, too, winning 1st Place in Crimson Class. They also took Best Guard, Best Concert Percussion, Best Battery, and Outstanding Music Performance. A partial run-down of the scores can be found on the Awards Page.

Parents' Night Performance is Tuesday, September 4th!

The Pipestone-Jasper Arrow Marching Band will be holding their annual Parents' Night Performance on Tuesday, September 4th, at the Paulsen Athletic Complex. There, the Arrows will unveil their 2001 show, "The Pirates of Lake Mendota." The festivities start at 7 PM.

New Design!

Today, I unveiled a new design for the website. The old design had been in use for more than a year, so I felt that it was time for a change. It was a rather daunting task, because I was very proud of the old site and didn't want to lose any effect that the design had. I decided to sick with a color scheme based off the color green, as this is one of Pipestone's school colors.

2001 Rehearsals Getting Underway

The 2001 Pipestone-Jasper Arrow Marching Band has begun rehearsing the 2001 Show, "The Pirates of Lake Mendota." The director for 2001 (and hopefully beyond!) is Mr. Michael Hench, formerly of Albert Lea.

Welcome to the Pipestone-Jasper High School Trombone Section Website. We are all from Pipestone, a small town in southwest Minnesota. My name is Mike Janssen. I am going to be a junior this fall at P-JHS, and am the trombone section leader. You may have visited our old website, but that site is no longer maintained. It was originally made by our old section leader, Mini (a.k.a. Mike Hilgemann). He appointed me to take over the reins, and now the page has moved here.

Well, go ahead and check out the links on the left! C'mon! You know you want to!!

I would personally like to thank you for coming and I encourage you to stop by and watch a show this fall! And sign the guestbook while you're at it!! Thank you again!

Please sign the guestbook and tell me what you think of this page, the Section, or the Band itself! Thank you!
