| My husband and I are delighted to write a letter of recommendation for Allison Piper, founder of Pipers Playhouse and an exceptional childcare provider. Our daughter Danielle is the youngest of 4 children and the only one who had someone other than family care for her. My mother had cared for our children and I have been thankful for that. Unfortunately, with my Mom�s ailing health, I couldn�t feel comfortable leaving Danielle. This was a bit of an anxious time for us and a huge decision for us to make. I finally took that first step and made an appointment for Danielle and I to meet with Allison. My fears were eased promptly. I stumbled upon Pipers Playhouse as I was on my way to my college course one morning. I memorized her website address, checked it out when I got to my class and was incredibly impressed with what I saw. Allison�s website was very thorough. I was able to see the menu, schedule, the outline of each day, the theme and activities for the current month, references from other pleased parents as well as a very thorough handbook. The website was so detailed I couldn�t muster even one question for Allison after our meeting and tour. Danielle began at Pipers Playhouse in October 2004 on the days she did not attend kindergarten. Each day that I would pick her up she would be so excited to tell me about her day. At the end of the week she came home with a bag full of activities and crafts she had done through the week. As concerned parents utilizing daycare for the first-time, we were grateful of Allison�s communicative style and honesty. We put our trust in Allison and she never let us or our daughter down. We were especially enthusiastic of the routine that Allison puts together and implements each day. Predictability helps children to feel secure. Our daughter knows when she will go for walks, when she will play outside, when she will eat lunch, and when she will go home. A part of us is sad now that our daughter is heading into school on a full-time basis, as Allison will no longer be a part of our lives. However we feel extremely fortunate to have found Allison and Pipers Playhouse and will be highly recommended to those in need of childcare. Sheri |
| I am writing this letter in regards to Allison Piper. Within only moments of being in her home and meeting her, we knew it was her that we wanted to take care my son. Not only did we feel good about Allison, but when she showed us around her home and how it is all set up for the daycare, it really impressed us. She has everything imaginable. My fianc� and I would highly recommend Allison to anyone looking for an amazing and caring person to look after and care for their child. Our son had a very difficult time with me going back to work but when he met Allison, within about one week he was totally comfortable with me dropping him off and leaving him for the day. Allison keeps him busy all day, playing at the water table, doing crafts of many kinds, going outside to play in the backyard, colouring, etc. I know this because I would go home at night and receive pictures from the days activities on my computer and also I would get to see his craft of the day in his back pack. He also comes home with a sheet telling us exactly what they did all day, when his diapers have been changed, what time he ate and how much. When it comes to your child, detail is great and Allison makes sure we get the details. It makes myself and my fianc� feel so much better about going to work for the day! To this very moment, we still are both very proud of our choice in daycare for our son, we know he has a great day when he is there, most times he is happy to see me go in the morning! | Dear Allison, Just a quick note to thank-you very much for looking after the girls while our regular caregiver was on vacation. Our children really got along well. Becca can't stop talking about little Brendan. They both look forward to their next opportunity to come again. Your home was bright and clean and there was never a loss for things to do. You certainly have a special way with children. Congratulations on your new daycare program, I wish you years of sucess. Sarah |
| Allison After meeting with you, I feel reassured in leaving my kids in such a safe and friendly atmosphere. As a busy professional, it takes the worry out of the day to know my kids are being looked after the way I would do. | Our 2 year old really enjoys his time at Pipers Playhouse. We could tell that from the first time we went to pick him up and he didn't want to leave. We can't believe how much his speech has improved in the few months that he has been going. He is always talking about his new friends and looks forward to the time he spends there. Jason |
| I am really pleased with the decision to send my daughter to daycare and I am exceptionally happy that I have you to care for her. She always has fun and has a lot to say about what she does every day and the really nice part about it is, she's falling asleep within minutes of going to bed. Sheri |
| My son has been going to Pipers Playhouse for just about a year now. I was relieved to find such a nice atmosphere. It's a huge stress off of your shoulders knowing that your child care provider is amazing with your child when you drop him/her off in the morning. My son just loves to go to Pipers Playhouse, to the point that he fusses when he has to leave. Most of his days are filled with painting, colouring, building blocks, sand table, and so many other activities. He enjoys walking to school everyday with his friends. On the weekends when there is no school or need to send him to daycare he still asks to go. I am glad that I found such a great environment with such a caring child care provider. It really is a family based place to send your children. I am very excited that I found Pipers Playhouse. It really is a wonderful place to send your children! Jasmin |

| Allison has provided daycare for my son for the last 2 years. During this time, she has provided and execellent learning and caring environment. It is always hard for a working parent to leave their child, but with Allison I never had to worry. It was nice having a friendly and safe place for him to go, and that he wanted to go to. Allison takes the extra time for learning each child's strenghts and weaknesses, so that they are prepared for entering school. She made learning fun! | I am writing in regards to Allison Piper of 'Pipers Playhouse' home childcare. There is so much I can say, I really don't know where to begin!! Allison is wonderful, from the time you meet her, you truly feel right at home and comfortable talking with her. We began care with her for our son in May of 2004 and stayed with her right through until she had to move in April 2006. My son was so happy to go there, and I was so happy to take him there. The activities, games etc. that Allison does with the daycare is great. I have a friend, whose mom is a retired school teacher and she cannot believe how far our son has come along. She cannot believe the things he knows, it amazes her, and us too of course. Every day our son comes home with learning sheets, usually to do with either the season, special occasion (ie. easter, thanksgiving ect.) or even just something like counting or matching and always a craft they have done. Quite often Allison would send us pictures to our e-mail of the days events. (Which we found to be great because, we could see what a great time he was having.) Another great experience with the daycare was the social skills our son has developed, he has been on many day trips to Allison's son's school (as she volunteers), he participates in class activities (he is 2 1/2 and he can keep up with the jk class!) They have been to another daycare s Allison is part of the Durham Region Home Childcare Association and she is friends with other care givers in the neighbourhood. They have also gone many many times to the Ontario Early Years Center and library for day trips. And...also for leisure, Allison takes them to the park quite a bit. I could go on and on for much longer, but as you can see from what I have said so far, I am thoroughly pleased, and we truly are going to miss Allison, she has been a great part of our lives and we wish her great luck ans success in her Daycare in Alberta.
