The Scottie Pippen Story

--Scottie Pippen's path to the NBA may very well be the most incredible of any player in the league today. Not recruited by Division I schools and having played only one year of high school ball, Pippen's coach convinced a friend in charge of the Central Arkansas bball program to take Pip on as the manager. Once there Pip began a tremendous growth spurt that continued into his early years in the NBA. Pippen eventually found his way onto the bball squad and eventually dominated at Central Arkansas, but garnered little attention for his achievment do to the small and weak nature of the league in which he played. At pre-draft camps Pippens long arms and athleticism caught the attention of Jerry "crumbs" Krause who knew he has a find. On draft day a trade was made that would have Seattle draft Pippen for Chicago and Chicago grab O. Polynice for Seattle...a trade Chicago natives have been smiling about for years.
