EXPERIENCE: A couple of years of HS ball where he played for the Arkansas golden bears(he started his senior year).

He began his college career as an equipment manager, when a few players quit the team the coach was tired of Scottie wanting to play and gave him a chance, PIP MADE THE MOST OF IT. Four years at Central Arkansas, in which his scoring totals rose steadily and he
ended up averaging 23.6 ppg in his senior year. He entered the NBA in the
1987 draft, where he was the 5th pick overall, to the Seattle Supersonics.
The Sonics traded him immediately to the Chicago Bulls, for Olden Polynice,
no less, where he remains today (yes, Seattle was ignorant back then, too).

CAREER HI-LITES: Pip has 6, count them 6, of those nifty little
championship rings. He has been
named to the All-NBA 1st team 3 times, All-NBA 2nd team twice (most
recently for the '96-'97 season), and the All-NBA 3rd team three times. Scottie
has been on the all Defensive team 8 consecutive times. He lead the league in steals
for '94-'95. He was the NBA player of the month in December '95, and earned
player of the week honors on February 24th, 1997. He was the MVP of the
1994 All-Star game, and has competed in 6 All-Star games, total. His stats
for the '96-'97 season? Pts. 20.2, APG. 5.7, RPG. 6.5, 154 steals, and 45
blocks. He has also competed in 2 Olympic Games, emerging with 2 gold medals.

FAMILY:� Has 6 older sisters and 5 older brothers (I only know the names of four of his siblings---Carl, Raye, Dorothy and Sharon His parents are Ethel and Preston Pippen.

CHILDREN & RELATIONSHIPS: Pip has 3 children. Antron is 9, and was born to
Scottie's ex-wife, Karen McCullom Pippen. Sierra, who is almost 3, and wasborn to Scottie's ex-fiancee, Yvette DeLeone, and Taylor, who is 4, and was
born to Sonya Roby (she also had a twin that died nine days after birth).

MISC: Scottie doesn't like peas. While he was in Chicago he lived in a 6 bedroom house in
Highland Park, IL, a suburb of Chicago. He has bought houses for 2 of his siblings. Pippen's favorite singers include the Fugees, Whitney Houston, and Boyz II Men. He would like to visit Africa one day. Scottie doesn't like peas. Some of his favorite movies include "The Nutty Professor" and "Face/Off". He owns three dogs. Two are rottweilers, Chichio and Zowie. �He also has a pet shark, and says that if he were an animal, he would be a shark. He says that he loves to watch aggressive animals. Pip owns a silver Mercedes. Hawaii is his favorite spot for a vacation. His favorite pre-game meal is steak and potatoes. His favorite places to shop in Chicago are on Oak Street, and his favorite Chicago restaurant is anyplace that serves a great steak. Pip says that if he was a track athlete, he would probably run the 400m. In school, Scottie's favorite subject was math; his least favorite was chemistry. His first car was a Datsun 210. Scottie's favorite TV show as a child was Sanford and Son. His favorite moment from last season was his championship- sealing steal in the closing moments of game 6 agains the Jazz. The first thing he would do as President of the United States is "make Bill Clinton, my homeboy from Arkansas, Vice President". His major in college was industrial technology (at the University of Central Arkansas, whose mascot is the Bear), and he will get his degree sometime this year (according to the children's book he wrote, "Reach Higher"). He once had a job welding school desks together, while trying to pay for his college education, and he still has burn scars to prove it. His best friend as a child and in college, where they played together, was Ronnie Martin.

CHARITBLE ACTIVITITES: Runs the Scottie Pippen Youth Foundation; has yearly summer basketball camps for kids in Arkansas, gave $15,000 to the victims of the Oklahoma City bombing, visits the under-priveleged children at Cabrini Green in Chicago.
