Training begins with ensuring the horse is first and foremost balanced in all three gaits without the weight of the rider. Once this has been accomplished training under the rider begins. Much time is spent on basic school figures and encouraging the horse to reach for the riders hand. We don't stress "submission", rather "participation" of the horse.
PPH currently offers full training, including working of the horse five to six times weekly; partial training, including working of the horse two to three times weekly; rider training, including working of the horse three times weekly and also one lesson for owner/rider once weekly (this training is ideal for those owners/riders wishing to participate in their horses training and get a hands-on feel for the use of the training methods); and consignment training, including riding of the horse two to three times weekly to keep up with current training and also showing of the horse to potential buyers. This also includes free advertisement of the horse on the free listing sites, such as equinehits.com. Any pay-based sites are at the expense of the owner/agent wishing to sell the horse.
Prices are as follows:
Full Training: $600.00/month
Partial Training: $350.00/month
Rider Training: $550.00/month
Consignment Training: $300.00/month, plus 15% of the final selling price
**Please note: Horses in consignment training should need no major training rather only upkeep on current training. If additional training is required a fee will be assessed.
