submitted by Sandy: I remember Christmas Eve day many years ago when Mom was working at the jewlery store and all my sisters were busy with their own lives.  I drove home to Hartford from Muncie to spend the day with Dad.  We had the most fun, laughs, made candy and popcorn balls and just talked but the best part is that there was just the two of us for several hours.  I love those kinds of small groups.....just 2 people enjoying quality time and talking about things you never seem to get to talk about when the entire family gets together.  Christmas Eve has not been the same these past 25 years.  I sure miss that man.
a new one from Eric: It was just yesterday, the day after Chritmas day 2002.  I went sledding at Memorial Park again with my mom and my sister Autumn.  We had 8" of snow over Christmas Eve night and it was very cold but mom didn't whine too much this time.  We started out on one of the smallest hill and it was safe.  We went down this one and the first time down the sled started turning sideways and then backwards.  My sister and I almost fell off. It was fun.  My mom was taking pictures.  I had to hold on to Sis while we were walking back up the hill because it was very slick.  Then we went over to the big big hill.  The first time on this hill we had a race and Sis won.  The next time down the hill I went alone and wasn't holding on tight and I fell off the sled face down into the packed snow and skinned up my nose.   Mom and Sis came running because I wasn't getting up because I hurt.  Finally we went back up the hill and had another race coming down the hill on the sleds.  There were 2 big boys that kept getting in our way and I fell off my sled again.  My sister went a long way that time and I got back on my sled and went on down the hill.  Mom kept asking if I was hurting.  And this is my second Christmas memory.
