Submitted by Bill: Everything in life has positives and negatives, none more so than Christmas Christmas is a time for giving But some only want to receive Christmas is a time of peace But some just don't believe Christmas is a time to be merry But some will only get drunk Christmas has it's own music But some will only play funk Christmas is a time to send greetings But we know some won't Christmas is a time to wish goodwill But we know some don't Christmas is a time for families But some will be alone Christmas is a time for parties But some only lower the tone Christmas is a time to be joyous But some will always be sad Christmas comes but once a year For that we should be glad |

submitted by Den: When was young (age 7) I got bollocked from my parents for drinking the sherry they left for Santa. (I also took a bite from the carrot and mince pie). The year after, I was reminded not to drink it again. This has been a joke in the family to this day and I even reminded my own kids when they were younger not to follow my examples. |

submitted by Cindy (aka the Angel bit of AngelandPrince): I'm not sure I can say this is my favorite memory but it sure is one I haven't forgotten the past 37 yrs. I was around 10 yrs. old and my sister Susie was about 15 (that's a lie because I'm 3 yrs. her elder, NOT 5!) Mom and Dad went shopping and Susie talked me into opening a present that was under a tree. I didn't want to because I knew it was wrong and that's something I hardly ever did (yeh right Cindy). But I did open a gift and then felt really guilty because it was a white Bible. I don't know if God has ever forgiven me for this but I hope He has. After that I never opened another gift before Christmas (she's fibbing again!) because I felt so bad about it. |
