Hello there,
I'm Susie, aka Susan, Suz, Sue, Daft mare, Mom, Wag, but usually just "Peeps". "Why does she title her site as a FOLLY?" you may ask. When I explain what a folly is I think you will be able to figure that question out on your own after viewing this site. A folly, according to Chambers Dictionary, is a great useless structure, or one left unfinished, haveing been begun without reckoning of the cost. When I began erecting this site I was clueless as to what would be included on it nor that I would add pages at a whim, but I have and continue to do so until my aloted space expires. Now then, a little about myself....
I became all consumed with the internet when my daughter, Autumn, went off to college and our long distance phone bills became unmanageable. So she turned me on to e-mail which lead to Yahoo! chat rooms which lead to Yahoo! messenger which lead to not getting a whole lot of anything else accomplished in the day and certainly erratic sleeping habits but my knowledge in so many areas have expanded 100 fold. I can now hold a semi-intelligent conversation about England and their culture (I've been accused of being an Anglophile, which I consider a compliment), the afflictions of special needs children (whom I've worked with for 9 yrs.), MP3s, graphics, photo editing and any other idea that pops into my head (the internet is endless!). My son, Eric, enjoys computers. He sat on my lap as a toddler and is now semi-proficient on it....yeh I allow him on from time to time. I've met many friends on here (to add to my distinguished list of life longers) from all points of the US of A, some being from my own Hoosier state and several from across the pond, all of which I would like to take this opportunity to thank here and now for being my confidants, strength, s**ts and giggles not to mention bruises from ROTFL and of course the pressies in the post. Words can't express my affection for all of you. Ok, I'm getting too soppy so onward with the embellishments........ |
