I have outgrown the Hot Springs Spa and need a pool...
and as you can see below - I'm getting my way as usual.
The hole was excavated so that the finished deck will
be about 18" below the high point of beginning grade on steps end.
Rain sure messes things up during a project like this.
The 5' deep end has 8" or more of water here.
A wider shot than the one below, slope of lot is more obvious.
Pool will be 3'6" deep on shallow end tapering to 5' deep other end.
Which equals 18" below grade shallow end and 2'6" above grade deep end.
Pool framed, steps in place, ready for sand with
2 side panels left off, so sand can be dumped in.
Well past this point now, but this is most recent picture.
Notice the wall height (depth) increasing away
from steps toward the deeper end.
The 2x2's at bottom of walls are to help determine level at which
to screed the sand bottom, and will be removed before installing liner.
The plans came from Sunland Pools.
We also bought the liner and other pool components from them.
We began looking into this project in '91, and got the first set of plans and video then.
We are very pleased with their plans, prices and knowledgeable help when called.
