Who We Are?
PIGSSAI is an all volunteer, SEC registered, non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to the preservation, revival, enhancement and promotion of all Philippine Indigenous games and sports, particularly Filipino Martial Arts (FMA) and the traditional Filipino Native Games (FNG) as part of our cultural heritage.

What are FMA's?
FMAs are our ancestor's cultural legacy in the field of self-defense techniques and weapons fighting system. that have been existing in the country long before the spaniards came to shore. Some of these native fighting arts are the world-class arnis method of stick fighting and bladed weaponry system, the sikaran art of kickfighting, the dumog and pambuno styles of traditional wrestling, the hand and foot combat of Mindanao silat and kuntaw, among others.

What are FNG's?
FNG's are those indigenous traditional native games most children, even adults, play. Some of these are the board games of dama; the street games of patintero and piko; the fiesta games of basag palayok, pabitin and palo sebo; the objects games of holen, trumpo and yoyo; and all-original game of sungka, among others.

Our (PIGSSAI) Objectives
PIGSSAI's objective is three-pronged: (1) To save and preserve, (2) To enhance and enrich, and (3) To promote and propagate these ancestral legacies in the field of sports and games.

PIGSSAI's Mission and Vision
PIGSSAI envisions that all original Filipino Martial Arts and native games to nurture and to grow as a landmark of the Filipino peoples' artistic struggle, cultural belongingness, competitive spirit, racial ingenuity and as an effective channel of health maintenance, sports and cultural tourism, spiritual discipline, unity and patriotism. Of course, we do not discount the possibility to see these indigenous games as the Philippine's proud contribution to the Olympic Games and in other international sports scene.
