Telephone Central Java, Indonesia is three hours behind Australian Eastern Standard time (Sydney) during the July program and four hours behind during the January Program due to daylight saving time in Australia. Indonesian international phone call rates are very expensive. Participants are advised to contact Telstra or other telephone companies before departure to obtain a call card or a special number to enable calls home at Australian rates.
