"I can't understand why the parents abaNaomi talking to a Rotaractor, Anisndon their kids, but I am happy to be able to help take them on an outing, especially Zacchaeus. They deserve better," said Irene Kong, treasurer of the Limkokwing Institute of Creative Technology in KL.

They certainly do. Some of these children - from Joshua's Land and Precious Children's Home in Segambut, Selangor - have been abandoned, all are underprivileged.

The life stories of these little innocents are so harrowing that one wonders how someone so young can bear it.

Moved by their plight, my Rotaract club decided to make these children theL to R: Stephanie, Naomi, Dephanie and Ruthir first community project We held numerous planning sessions with various big wigs, even held an 'open day' to collect donations - which we got plenty off. Among the 13 boxes of clothes, toys and books were 3 barbie dolls estimated at RM300, 2 sets of encyclopedias and clothes with the CK, DKNY and Versace label!

Trying golf - by the way, this guy is quite a pro!But the best surprise came from one of Malaysia's most popular golfing resorts - Saujana Golf CLub. They offered us to help host a special outing for the children with buffet, games and prizes provided. We managed to fish out RM1,100!
