This article was written by me for Star, one of our national papers. It appeared in Nov 27 '97. I've shortened the article a little. Move your mouse to the pictures and you'll see a description.

Jason was just a year old when his mother was hurt in a car accident and his father abandoned him. When kind sould eventually took him to the Joshua's Land home, Jason was dying.

"He was so weak and thin and he was wheezing away. His mother was dying in the hospital so there was no one to care fPastor Robert and a Rotaractoror him," said Evelyn Teo, wife of Pastor Robert Judah Paul, founder and supervisor of the home.

"When we first brought him to the home, he was crying all the time. We were so afraid he wouldn't live but we prayed and prayed, and he made it.

"Jason is one and a half years old now. Look at how he holds out his hands, asking anyone and everyone to carry him - it's because he craves love and attention, everything he missed before."

The children, tucking inWe were so moved when we heard Jason's story. And the stories of his sisters Dorcas and Stephanie. Then there was nine-year old Zacchaeus, rejected by his father for being a midget and Naomi, now seven, and her three-year old brother Habakkuk who were found wandering the streets of Kuala Lumpur two years ago.
