Updates

12-03-05: Phoenix Ashes Rattery welcomes Nitroblue Tetrazolium and Kasi to the family.

09-26-05: Phoenix Ashes Rattery welcomes Osmium Tetroxide to the family!

08-22-05: Rat Information section was updated, making common problems and illnesses available for viewing.  

Rattery Information section updated, making adoption and surrender information available.  I will be working to make the questionnaire and adoption contracts available online.

I have also decided to keep better health records for my rats.  All weekly health checks will now be recorded and available online for viewing.

06-04-05:  Foxfire was rushed to the emergency vet because of respiratory distress.  After several hours of oxygen and radiographs, it was decided that the most loving thing I could do was to end her suffering.  She was humanely euthanized at 1:35pm.

She will always hold a piece of my heart.

06-02-05:  I am trying to catch up with updates for the rattery.  I plan on adding to the art, photo, and wallpaper section as well as making myself available for rat (and other) commissions by creating a page and price guide.

3-14-05:  Kittlesby's body had enough, despite his fight with old age.  He passed away in my mother's arms around 12:45 pm while I was on the phone at school.  I adopted him at 2 and a half years of age and couldn't be more happy with the nine months that we had together.  He will always hold a special place in my heart as one of my favorite rats.

2-26-05: Kain became the newest member of the PAR family.

2-10-05:  Aura passed away in my arms at 10:28 pm.  Being a stray she was a mysterious age, most likely about 2.5 to 3 years old.  She has been my companion for over a year and a half and will be missed.

11-04-04:  Ytterboe was euthanized at 3:27 pm.  Despite my best efforts the masses in his lungs were ruining his quality of life.  He had lost a quarter of a pound and had stopped eating.  I miss him very much.

10-23-04: The PAR logo has once again been updated.  I did the ratty angel logo in photoshop and really liked how it turned out.

The whole website is going under renovation, hopefully it will be done soon.

06-13-04: Ytterboe and Kittlesby joined the PAR family.

05-30-04:  Kirika passed away at 10:48pm in my arms.  She was the last of my original trio of kids.  She held out until I graduated from college today.  I guess she wanted at least one of the college ratty kiddos to see me all the way through my senior year.

I love you, Ki!

04-16-04:  Mara was euthanized at 5:07pm.  She was miserable with her three tumors and was no longer eating.  Sometimes the hardest thing in the world to do is to help end their suffering.  She is my best friend and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

My life will never be the same without her.

02-27-04: Fox became the newest member of the Phoenix Ashes family.

02-13-04: I have updated the PAR logo to a phoenix I drew during one of my classes last year.  I am currently working on the photo albums.  2002 and 2003 are completed for now.  I'm having a difficult time finding old pictures of Mara from 2001.

02-08-04: PAR has been dealing with tumors in Kirika and Mara.  While always in the plan, PAR's goals are now most definitely to maintain tumor free lines.  No one should have to watch their rats grow tumors over and over again.

Mara and Kirika's health records have been updated.

10-22-03: I now have the beginnings of the site on my geocities web page.  Hopefully I can complete more of it soon.

08-15-03: Sato passed away this morning at 1:19AM US Central time.  She will be deeply missed by all of us.

Aura finally was able to come home today.  I only wish that it wouldn't have been the same day that Sato passed on.
