Balineum will be a state of the art media centre containing a full multiform theatre, a multifunctional auditorium for all performance, production, conference, and exhibition purposes, a television studio, audio recording studio, full film, video and audio editing facilities, graphic design and photography departments and full manufacturing and fabrication units. In addition there will be a comprehensive range of hospitality facilities including restaurants a gallery cafe and bars.

Project programmes include theatre, musicals, classical, contemporary and modern music concerts, ballet, modern dance, opera, variety, comedy and speciality shows, circus based shows, sporting events such as boxing, snooker and oriental martial arts.

Cinematic presentations of strong independent material, both produced by the in house team, and British films without distribution deals.

Public usage events like job and career fairs, seminars and conferences for business and industry and society and Organisation conventions.

Nostalgia events like music hall shows for the local oap community.

The potential to cooperate with other local venues and arts groups also exists, and the possibility of creating a community arts programme or arts festival in the local area with those groups is hugely exciting.
