Philip Mark Hunt, born 10th August 1955 at Bushey, Herts. England. Educated in England and Australia. I lived most of my early life in England, primarily in the outer suburbs of London, though most of my primary school years were in Sydney, NSW. Migrated to Australia in May 1985 and settled in Kwinana, WA in March 1993. My first career was in computer programming and analysis and I have now changed to library, records and information work. I have completed the Bachelor of Applied Science (Library Technology) at Edith Cowan University, Perth, WA and I am now upgrading that Pass degree to Honours; my research is entitled "Audit of Technology Uptake by Small to Medium Sized Law Firms in Perth, Western Australia". My personal interests are centred around my membership of the Uniting Church and active participation in "The Walk to Emmaus" movement, an ecumenical mission program of the Uniting Church and other sister churches worldwide. My life has recently been transformed, outwardly, by finally being honest with both myself and the world, by coming out as gay. I have always known I am gay but had not admitted it publicly. Recently certain things happened and I decided I could remain in the closet no more. My first 'big' out thing was to take part in the Perth Gay and Lesbian Pride Parade on October 26th 2002 by playing the character Noah in an inter-varsity spoof on the Noah's Ark theme; pictures are at Perth Pride Parade 2002. The football team I support is Queens Park Rangers of Shepherds Bush, London, UK.

My house at 10 Heylmore Road, Medina, KWINANA, WA. One of the happiest days of my life - my graduation from the Assoc Dip. in Science(Library Technology) on 31st March 1998. My second graduation, that time from the Bachelor of Applied Science(Library Technology), on 6 May, 2001. Ted, my very black cat, this means he is hard to see at night and often used to wait at the back door for long times to be let in. Through 1999/2000 I kept him inside all the time while he was recovering from being badly mauled by a dog, an incident that cost me $1100, but I've let him out again since 2001 - I don’t think his walks are taking him anywhere near as far he used to though. I also trip over Ted from time to time, because he will walk up close to me and be very quiet. |
