It is my hope to one day create an N-Guage model railway of the above closed branch line in south west Essex. I plan to model the line as run under the ownership of LNER, just prior to nationalisation. On the left is a picture of Hadham station in its heyday and on the right is a picture of part of the disused line track nearby to Hadham. The original line served the hamlet of Mardock and the villages of Widford, Much Hadham, Braughing and West Mill whilst connecting the small towns of St Margarets, Standon and Buntingford. Fame came to the branch as a film location. The films, Postman's Knock, O'Leary Night and Girls in Arms were filmed on and around this line. Relevant web sites : - | ||
