Throkmorton and Edwin
This photo shows the Brewmaster, T. Q. Gildersleeves, along with his older brother Edwin, circa 1935, sampling some Gildersleeves Cream Stout. A promotional photo, it was taken shortly after Throkmorton had recovered from life-saving surgery on his big toe. Edwin
Gildersleeves was a millionaire, having made his fortune in toilets and sewers.
"I think you've had enough to drink for one morning!"
Another promotional photo is shown at left. It is actually a still, taken from a filmed advertisement produced by Whatduh Promotions and shown in local movie theatres. The actor shown is Horace Legbender, a childhood friend of Throkmorton Q. Gildersleeves, and one of the most ardent supporters of the Brewery. Legbender would later die tragically in a steamroller accident.

It's a TRUCK, you idiot!!!
A member of the original fleet of Gildersleeves Brewery delivery trucks. The transition from horse-drawn vehicles to the new-fangled motor vehicles proved to be a boon to Gildersleeves' distibution of his fine brew. It was in one of these trucks that T. Q. Gildersleeves proposed to the lovely Edwina Lum. Sadly for the Brewmaster, following the proposal,  Ms. Lum was never heard from again.
"Look, Martha....you can almost see his ....."
