HAPPY 2006 Everybody!
Hello and welcome to my website!  This website was primarily designed to share my photos with friends, so feel free to browse through the photos I have taken throughout the years.  Hopefully you will learn a little more about me while perusing through this website.  If you want to ask me "how I did it" or if you have any comments for me, feel free to e-mail me at
[email protected]

Hopefully everybody is making their New Years Resolutions and this year those wishes will be granted (or kept).  It was in 2002 that I made my New Year's Resolution to lose weight, I had some ups and downs and it took awhile, but eventually I lost 80 pounds and have maintained my goal weight of 160 pounds these past 2 years.  I'm willing to help anybody who is looking for support in weightloss, as kind of an unofficial spokesperson, and yes for free.  I know first hand how hard it is to break the "lazy" pattern, but I also think if I can do it, so can anyone else.

I never expected my weightloss to be my biggest accomplishment. I use to be known as the smart Electrical Engineer, but nobody refers to me as that guy anymore.  I submitted my story of how I lost weight and started climbing mountains to Men's Health magazine and they were so inspired they published the article.  The article is on-line at Menshealth.com under the Fitness catagory > Motivation articles.  The title of the story is "An Eye Toward the Summit" or just
click here to see it! I was told that my name and photo appear on page 110 in the Jan/ Feb. 06 issue of the magazine, but it wasn't that big.  Since I chose fitness over Twinkies: I have run 2 Marathons and many 10Ks, was sponsored by Nike as a pace leader, and have climbed a lot of mountains (some of the most enduring and highest in the world).  I hope to climb the highest mountain on every continent, also known as the "7 Summits" and meet new people who want to get into Adventure Racing.

My friend Ben and I just came back from reaching the summit of Aconcagua in December 2005.  It's the highest mountain in the Western Hemisphere and on 6 of the 7 continents, standing 22,841 feet (6,962 meters) tall.  This 2 week expedition was led by Grajales in Mendoza, South America; I would highly recommend this service.  I wrote a trip report about how difficult the climb was,
click here for the details!  While I was down in South America I also went to Machu Picchu in Peru for a week, it was amazing!  It's up for nomination to become one of the new 7 Wonders of the World and it's definately got my vote, click here to read that trip report.

Before 2005 ended, I passed the test for my Real Estate Salesperson License in California just for my own personal benefit.  I'm not working in the profession, so if any of you want an "unbiased" answer about Real Estate or Realtor questions, feel free to ask me.  I also just bought a beautiful 3 bedroom house in upscale Cedar Park, Texas (NW suburb of Austin) as an investment property.  I plan on keeping this house for a long time and just renting it out; so if any of you know someone who is looking for a place in Cedar Park/ Austin area, please e-mail me.  I'm offering a $500 referral fee as an extra incentive to find good tenants!
Click here to see pictures and the flyer! Austin has been ranked in the Top 3 for Best Place to Live, Best Place for Business/ Career, Best Nightlife and Best Women by Men's Journal and Forbes, just to name a few.

As  always, feel free to pass this website on to anybody else who may enjoy it.

Best Wishes!
