Past Significant Fitness Dates
2002
January - Hike Topanga canyon, New Years resolution, get in shape to climb Mt Whitney.  Weighed 240lbs, size 42 waist, 18.5 inch neck.  Maximum I can do before first work-out is 10 sit ups, 10 push-ups, 1 pull-up, 1/4 mile run and exhausted.

March - 24 hour fitness, used eliptical and bike for 20 minutes each day, 5 days a week.. 

June - First attempt at Mt Baldy, failed to reach summit because too exhausted and getting late

July - Returned to Mt Baldy for first summit!  Hiking in Hawaii on Haleakala

August - Climbed up Suicide Peak (didn't jump! - J/K) in San Jacinto

September - Climbed Half Dome in Yosemite. Calsbad Caverns Spelunking, weighed 195lbs

October - Summit Mt Whitney (14,494ft) highest in contigious US!  Took 3 days in snow

November - Summit San Jacinto

December - Laid-off so I got to work-out/ play all day!  Started Mountain Biking, summit Mt Badden-Powell and Mt Williamson (smaller one), X-country skiing in Mammoth, size 38 waist
2003
February - X-country skiing in Mammoth. Solo attempt on San Gorgonio-failed

March - Summit Mt Badden-Powell. Started running (only 2 miles at the most)!

June - 2 week kayaking expedition trip in Lake Powell, Utah, 2 week backpacking trip around the Yucatan Penninsula, Mexico.  Got stomach flu in Mexico.  Weighed 180lbs.

July - Gorgonio Solo (Summit to Sea), started at sunrise 6AM, summitted at noon, back in the car before 3PM and made it to Seal Beach in time to watch sunset while swimming in the ocean.  Weighed 175lbs, size 36 waist.

August - Hired by Raytheon and went back to school to finish Masters of Science degree Electrical Engineering at USC. Maintained running, but not too much free time.

September - Mt Whitney in a day!  Up and down in 12 hours with 2 hour nap on summit!

November - Summit Mt Badden-Powell

December - Joshua Tree bouldering, Ben Overturff trail.  Running almost 5 miles/ day for 5 days a week, size 34 waist.
2004
January - Joined Sierra Club Wilderness Training Course (WTC).  Summit Mt Allen, Mt Wilson

April - Bouldering in Joshua Tree. Rosarito-Ensenada 50 mile bike ride. Nike 10K Run Hit Wonder (44 minutes).  Running about 8-9miles once/week and ~100 miles/month. Weighed 160lbs and size 30 waist.  I reached my goal weight and size!!!! - Now I have to maintain!!!

May - Ice Axe Training, Summit Mt Lassen, Mt Gorgonio

June - Summit Mt. Rainier.  Running 6.5 miles 5-6 days a week

July - Summit Cloudripper, Hunchback Peak

August - Summit Mt Shasta (LA-Summit-LA in 40 hours).  Lead hike to Pt Mugu.

September - Sponsored by Nike as Pace Leader.  Rosarito-Ensenada 50 mile bike ride

October - Ran first Marathon (4:56 minutes) in Long Beach!  Malibu 10K.  WTC graduation.

November - Skydiving for first time (not as big as the hype, but fun)!  Motorcycle license.
2005
January - Expedition leader and Summit Pico De Orizaba (18,409ft), third highest mountain in North America!

March - Ran LA Marathon (5:20 minutes), hurt knee....withdraw from Denali plans : (

April - Summit attempt on Mt Williamson, rough terrain and ran out of allotted time

May - Sandstone peak.  Started bike riding (low impact on knee) for excersice.

June - Started to run again with knee brace, low mileage (3-5 miles) 3 times a week.  Summit Split Mountain!

August - Sponsored again by Nike as Pace Leader for Run Hit Wonder Series.

September - Ran the Run Hit Wonder 10K, training for Aconcagua in December, highest mountain on 6 continents at 22,841ft.

November - Set off to climb Aconcagua.  Running 5 miles and biking 12 miles with an occasional swim on weekends to make it a mini sprint distance triathlon!

December - Summit Aconcagua!!!
