Winning Slogan and Captions It was a good suggestion from Sharon who wrote in my guest book to include some of my winning slogans in this website. While most contest enthusiasts would tell you they never keep track of the many slogans they write, I just have a handful to share. Hey, it really is a good idea to jot them down as it gives me sentimental value now to review them once in a while. You enjoy them too !!!
The eGenting website - Jim Brickman 2003 Concert This slogan won me an exclusive photo shot with Jim Brickman and an autographed CD by him. Genting was also generous enough to invite the contestants to a high tea for Jim Brickman's fans and to the concert itself. Actually, I wasn't really a Jim Brickman fan until this win. Haha. But, going to the concert lifted me up to Jim Brickman's soothing romantic songs and his clear piano keys. Check this page for photos later. :)
This slogan was written with Jim Brickman's song titles:
"Little Star" twinkle in my room, and take away my gloom, my tears are wiped listening to your tune, and love fills my heart as "I See the Moon".
The Sun daily - Aaron Kwok Concert This slogan won me 2 free premium tickets to Aaron Kwok concert in Bukit Jalil. Hah, actually I was not very much a Kwok Fu Sing fan ... couldn't really sing along with the other fans in the stadium ... but this was certainly my first concert experience ... and I took a lot of camera shots (which didn't turn out nice anyway ... Shhh!! Kiasu me, always want to do stuff I'm not allowed to :)) "Aaron's piercing eyes mystifies me, His energy pumping dance moves electrifies me, The King of Hearts has stole my heart."
NST Travel Times - Best Food in Malaysia I sent 2 reviews for this contest - one under my name and another under my mother's and both won 2 different yummy buffet dinners in hotels. The contest was organised by NST Travel Times to feature Malaysia's best holiday destination, food, and other 'best' categories.
Food reviewed: Ayer Itam Siam Laksa "Eat this and you will develop a yearning for more, making it the best food in Malaysia. Ayer Itam Siam Laksa is worth the travel to satisfy your yearning for a delicious treat to your taste buds. When my bowl of Laksa arrived, the aroma just left me impatient. I had a taste of the warm gravy, and I began to marvel at the right concoction of spices and coconut milk in the gravy. The 'lemak' taste of the laksa gravy of this stall is simply irresistible and among the best I have tasted. Then I began to have my first bite of the laksa noodles, and its soft texture is just right for a satisfying chewy sensation. Before I knew it, I had finished my bowl of laksa, if not all the gravy. And I thought that I should have another bowl of this best food in Malaysia."
Food reviewed: Penang Ice Kachang "The best food in Malaysia is when you taste the cool Penang Ice Kachang after a stroll around the streets. A simple desert becomes a much craved for food under the blazing hot sun. Located at Keng Kwee Street, you will find a long queue at the ice kachang machine. You see mountains of shredded ice being prepared on beds of 'leong fun', 'atap chee' and assorted goodies. The first taste that melts you would be the 'lemak' taste of the coconut milk mixed with the sweet Gula Melaka syrup. You begin to appreciate the well formed red beans, soft Cendol strips, sweet yellow raisins and search for the delightful crunchy peanuts that never fail to satisfy your ice kachang experience.
Maxis Hotlink Lord of the Rings contest Here's a slogan for hotlink I wrote but did not send in time. Sigh, maybe I wouldn't win the New Zealand trip but at least a consolation prize, yeah. Hotlink quest is ... A call from Maxis, that I can't miss (12w).

Tips on winning contests - a brief write-up by me
I am less of a contest freak now but more an ardent daddy in Tokyo who blogs. I am more and more convinced that a daddy needs to blog and reflect on parenting. Since most kids these days blog, a dad needs to blog and share his dreams, his experiences as a dad and may he himself learns as well as others and his children on the wonderful experiences http://daddyparentingtips.blogspot.com/
