-The first game the Eagles ever played was November 12, 1933 at Soldier Field in Chicago. The game ended in a 3-3 tie.
-Former Eagles owner Leonard Tose was known for his swinging lifestyle. He flew to all Eagles home games in a helicopter, he fed reporters Filet Mignon, he gave 4 of his five wives Rolls Royces. Tose is most well known for, sadly losing almost $50 million in lawsuits from casinos in unpaid gambling debts.
-In 1969, a group of season ticket holders who called themselves "The Committee to Rejuvinate the Philadelphia Eagles" urged people to boycott the final 2 home games to convince the Eagles to draft OJ Simpson. The Eagles won the last game against the Saints, and would miss out.
-After firing Rich Kotite, the Eagles and new owner Jeff Lurie tried to bring back Dick Vermeil to coach. Vermeil and Lurie were never able to reach an agreement and Ray Rhodes was hired instead.
-The Cowboys have not won a playoff game since 1996
-The Cowboys are tied for the most Super Bowls won by a franchise with 5 (other teams being San Francisco and Pittsburgh)
-In 2009 the Cowboys will begin playing in their new stadium being built in Arlington, TX. Their current stadium is in Irving, TX.
-In 1989, new owner Jerry Jones fired Tom Landry, hired Jimmy Johnson, and drafted Troy Aikman within a few weeks. The Cowboys finished 1-15 that year, but just two years later were 11-5 and in the playoffs.
-The Cowboys played in the coldest game in NFL history against the Green Bay Packers in Lambeau Field. The temperature was -13*F, with a wind chill of -40. The Packers won the game 21-17 on a QB sneak .
