| -Giants Stadium was the home to the game Eagles fans dub "The Miracle at the Meadowlands". With seconds remaining in the game, Giants QB Joe Pisarcik fumbled the handoff to his RB Larry Csonka only to have Eagles CB Herman Edwards run it back to give the Eagles a 19-17 win. -The stripe that the Giants feature on their uniforms is said to be modeled after the uniforms of Northwestern University. -The Giants have had at least 12 different logos since 1945. -The Giants logo featured on this website is actually the logo used from 1961-1974. Their current logo is almost exactly the same except the outside of the letters are outlined in red. -Interestingly enough, while Eagles fans refer to the game mentioned about as "Miracle at the Meadowlands", many Giants fans refuse to even mention it and refer to it simply as "The Fumble". -Former Giants LB Lawrence Taylor was known as much for his off the field problems as well as his stellar play on the field. In one particuarly odd incident, Taylor claimed to have hired prostitutes and sent them to opponents' hotel rooms in an effort to "tire them out". No word on whether the tactic worked. |

| -In recent memory, the Eagles had another "Miracle at the Meadowlands" when in 2003 with the Eagles struggling, Brian Westbrook ran a punt back for a TD with 1:36 remaining to give the Eagles the lead and eventually the game. One witness described Giants stadium as "so quiet you could hear a pin drop". -As a result of this amazing punt return, Eagles defensive coordinator gave Westbrook the nickname of "Seabiscuit". -Westbrook also won the Walter Payton Award for the best offensive player in NCAA division I-AA football in 2001 at Villanova. The guy who won it after Westbrook? Cowboys QB Tony Romo. -In his college years, Westbrook established 41 school records, 13 Atlantic Ten Conference records, and 5 NCAA records. -Westbrook is also the first player in college history at any level to have over 1000 yards rushing and 1000 yards receiving in a single season. -Westbrook is one of only two Villanova players to ever rush for over 1000 yards in a season and he did that three times. -Eagles DE Jevon Kearse is known for being the Freak but he also has great speed. Kearse set a combine record in the 10 yard dash and ran the 40 yard dash in 4.43, a time that usually WRs or DBs get. |
