Witchcraft
is a neo-pagan religion based on pre-Christian traditions. Its
origins can be traced back to Paleolithics who worshipped a
Hunter God and a Fertility Goddess.
In
1951, following the repeal of the last laws against Witchcraft
in England, Gerald Brosseau Gardner reintroduced Witchcraft to the world.
his tradition came to be known as
Gardnerian Wicca and from it hundreds of new traditions emerged.
Witches
do not do evil. they do not worship Satan. male practitioners
are not called Warlocks. They wear clothing of every style
- and color! They come from every socio-economic and ethnic
background. witches celebrate holidays,
use Spells and Magic Wands and treat their
Craft as a science, an art and a religion. The pentacles they
wear are revered as amulets for protection, not malice.
