![]() "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind; This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as your self." —Matthew 22:38-39 Mission Trips: Every two years our congregation coordinates an international or national mission trip. In the past few years, these trips have included construction work in Tecate, Mexico and community service work among the Native Amercian people in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Future mission trip dates will Summer 2003 (international) and Summer 2005 (national). For more information on these trips and other mission endeavors, contact Lana Lindenmuth . Homework Club: Beginning in the Fall of 2001, our church family will be partnering with Prospect Park Elementary School to provide one-on-one homework support for children in grades 1 through 3. The club will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 to 4:30PM. Adult and high school tutors are needed. Please contact Pastor Paula McCosh (610)532-9000 for more details. Food Pantry: In an effort to better assist community families in crisis, several of our lay leaders are organizing a community food pantry. This new ministry will begin during the Summer of 2001. In addition to food donations, the pantry will need volunteers to assist in the preparation and distribution of food. Please contact Linda Freeman if you are interested in this program or know of someone who needs our assistance. |
