I live, newly single, in warm, sunny Southwest! I got here by way of New York, Vegas, and Kingman, AZ. I recently transplanted from the Chicago Suburbs, back to Kingman, AZ to seek greener pastures, and more caring, trusting people! (hopefully!) I just about have an opinion about everything, I'm conservative in a liberal sort of way, (most of my life is a contradiction like that!). I've been known to slaughter the english language much like Norm Crosby, and I have sense of humor very few get. I've made it 43 years without really screwing up. I'm not rich and famous, but I'm surrounded by great people, so I'm a happy man. I'm forever searching for the bigger and better deal, not appreciating what I have. I have also become more indecisive in my later years. I'm basically a good person, caring, respectful, affectionate, and loyal above all. Combine that with impatience, spendthriftiness (a word?), and a lust for the dangerous, and you're looking at the dark side of a typical Aries! What I'd really love is to have a job where I can't wait to get up in the morning to go to work. I still haven't found it! My handle is "Phatkat". It has been since 1985, when I was a DJ in New York, and it's been on my licence plate since1994. It's been copied a lot, but it's mine, damn it!!!!
I'm an avid model railroader. I've built layouts in HO, N, O, and G scales. After taking my hobby way too seriously, I'm now going to have fun and build a layout with all the action accessories and have more play value with it. For the uninitiated, it simply means that my layout will be to scale, with realistic scenery and structures, but with more operating accessories on it. The trains will be detailed and weathered, and lettered for my own fictious railroad, the Pacific Belt, founded by me in 1977, modeled in my ficticious green, mountainous region of the United States. Of course, I change my mind so often, it even frustrates me! The scale could change, but the Railroad name and the idea won't. I also love old cars. Muscle cars and Sports cars in particular. I am a member of a few classic car clubs. And if it's possible to truly love an inanimate object, it would have to be the 1982-1992 Camaro and Firebird, 1979-93 Mustang, and 1970-72 Chevy Monte Carlo. I've owned over 50 cars, and those are my all-time favorites! I am starting to finally warm up to the newer cars! I got a 1991 IROC-Z, and it surprises me daily! Tire smoking power and 20 MPG is easy to get used to!!!!! Other hobbies include: model airplanes (commercial and combat), remote control cars, playing on this contraption, and restoring and playing with real cars, mainly 1st generation Monte Carlos, Mustangs, Firebirds, Camaros, and Datsun Z-cars. What ever happened to wanting the nice guy?? I see it, hear about it, experience it. The mean-spirited jerk always lands the nice girl! I read these ads of women wanting the perfect guy, and would never have to admit that he also has to have the perfect body, and make over $100,000 a year. When out with friends, I see the perfect girl, and who's she with, and ask; "How did she end up with him?" So what happened to wanting a good guy? Do you just give up and settle for a body and money? Because I'm not willing to! I want the dream, the fairy tale romance! The butterflies in my stomach when I think of her, the shake in my voice when I talk to her, and the Oh My God! I can't believe she loves me feeling. I'm told I'm a great guy, and I will meet someone right for me. I had, and she wanted someone else. I'm ever vigilant, but if you think I might be right for you, please drop me a line. I would love to hear from you!
My parents, live sort of near me, and my sister, southern California. We always seem to migrate back to the Southwest! They didn't make good midwesterners. Then, neither do I!! I hear they shoot speeders in Illinois! We're all glad to be out of the midwest! They're the best I could ask for, though. Truly good, honest people dredging through a crooked world. I've had many friends all over the world. I have to recognize Anthony, Kimberly, Lou, Amy, Camille, Rich and Ray as my best friends. They didn't go when my going got tough, and they understand my idiosyncrasies (well, except ONE of them!) Then there's Bob, my online friend. A brilliant and fascinating man. Someday, I gotta meet that dude! I'm trying to stay on the straight and narrow, even though all the people on the 'dark side' have all the cool toys, like I used to have. Some people I know have 'sold out' to get ahead. I want to slow down a little and enjoy life more. Don't get me wrong, I still want stuff, too! "I am loved, therefore I'm a rich man!"
