My first car, a 72 Monte Carlo. This picture was taken after months of rust removal, suspension work, paint, and a little massaging of the 402 big block engine. Despite it's size, it was one of the fastest cars I've ever owned. My heart broke when I had to sell it in 1983.
This was my 1986 Nissan 300ZX Turbo. One of my favorite cars, it did everything well. It was, however, the first car to have a problem that I couldn't figure out (UGH!) . Thanx to the Z31.com message board for helping me resolve it. Of course, it was something simple!!

As you can see, I've never really been brand loyal. There were cars I liked, cars I've hated, and cars I loved. I've always loved 1982-93 Mustangs, 1st generation Monte Carlo's ,1984-89 Nissan 300ZX's, and any F-body cars. I used to own a '90 Chevy Beretta GT too! It was the only front-wheel-drive car I've owned, untill my purchase of a 1997 Monte Carlo. It really doesn't feel like a typical front-wheel-drive box. It was good enough for Dale Sr.! Now I've got my '88 Camaro, and am back into the f-body handling!

"A run in with a honda"
A short story
by Carmine A.

One day, while coming home from the racetrack, this kid in a primered Honda Accord with a Top Fuel hood scoop started playing with me. He started revving his engine. I heard the familar "WAHH WAHH" from his exhaust, and saw the arrogant look on his face. I thought, OK, let's go!

We took off neck and neck. He started to gain a lead, then a car pulled out in front of me, so I backed off. After the road was clear I caught up again and stood on the gas. After we hit 100, he pulled away again! He looked at me with a shit-eating grin on his face, and then left, probably to brag to his buddies.
I had to think for a moment. Well, maybe I should of changed the oil in the 'ol 1-ton Ford Van before messing with the kid. The 302 engine's got almost 200,000 miles on it. Then I thought "Man, am I stupid and reckless!", going over 100 miles an hour while towing my race car on the trailer! Also, the 2000 lbs. of tools in the back of the van could have flown up and hit me, if I had to stop short!

Oh well, he's just lucky I didn't have premium in the tank!
Yeah, I've really owned this many cars!
Ask anyone I know.

Love it, or get the hell out!!!
This was my 1984 Mustang GT!
Picked it up from the original owner in Oregon for a song.
He couldn't wait to get rid of it, because of an overheating problem.
The problem was he had no fan shroud or thermostat (nobody over the age of 60 seems to think you need a thermostat) in it! I put them in, and it runs great now! This was one that I wish I had kept!
Come in and see!
