Rules
DRAFT: An Offline Draft will be held each year at a specified time. We will have one Draft Headquarters to meet at, or you may choose to draft over an AIM Meeting Room. This Meeting Room will be recorded for TIME and ACCURACY, and copies of this will be used to compile Rosters.
WAIVER WIRE:
- The waiver wire will be locked down Sunday at NOON until Wednesday @ 9:00pm EST.
- Players will submit FA pickup requests at anytime each Tuesday in an email to [email protected].
- On Wednesday, commissioner will assign players based on priority to the proper teams.
- Each Wednesday @ 9:00pm the commissioner will then release all remaining FA's to be picked up until the Sunday NOON deadline.
- PENALTIES: If you grab a free agent before 9pm on Wednesday or after NOON on Sunday there will be penalties. There are two severities to this rule.
1. Within 5 minutes of a deadline (minor) - that owner will be stripped of that/those players and will be moved to the end of the FA Priority List.
2. Any other offense (major) - that owner will be stripped of that/those players and will be moved to the end of the FA Priority List, AND will not be able to make a Free Agent or roster pickup for the remainder of that NFL week. You will field a team with the players you have.
ROLLOVER PLAYERS: In this league, you may carry 8 roster players over to next season. Mandatory keeper positions are as follows: QB, RB, WR, TE, K, DB, DL, D-FLEX.
FRANCHISE TAG: After you have kept a ROLLOVER player twice (meaning he could have played 3 full seasons with you), you must release him to the Free Agent market. However, at this time, you can apply the FRANCHISE tag to ONE player. Allowing you to keep him as long as he has the FRANCHISE tag. There is no limit to the amount of seasons you can apply the FRANCHISE tag to one player.
Note: I will keep a spreadsheet of your closing day rosters each season. Please remember, this is not an additional contract for your team, it's merely a contract extension.
DRAFT ORDER: All non-playoff teams will compete in a losers bracket, the Lottery Bowl. The Lottery Bowl winner actually gets to draft first during the following season. The Lottery Bowl runner-up will draft second. This will encourage no tanking and give people something to play for. All remaining teams will then be placed accordingly based on record, with ties broken by points scored. If you score less, you are the weaker team and will receive the better pick. The exception to this being the Grand Finale Champion, who will automatically pick last. And the Grand Finale Runner-Up will automatically pick next to last. Draft order will be officially announced on NFL Draft Day.
Note: This draft is still a snaking draft (1-12, 12-1, etc).
OFF-SEASON TRADING (PICKS/ROLLOVER PLAYERS): After NFL Draft Day, owners may begin trading ROLLOVER PLAYERS and DRAFT PICKS. Trades must include the same number of UNITS being exchanged. A "UNIT" equals a Player or a Draft Pick.
Note: No team may have more than 15 DRAFT PICKS (19 roster spots-8 keepers=11 round drafts). DRAFT PICKS cannot be traded during the regular season (this way no owner can trade their picks, then quit the next off-season).
IMPORTANT DEADLINES:
* Free Agency will end following the start of all week 13 games (beginning of our playoffs.) You will be able to change your lineups but not add additional players.
* You must declare your 8 keepers by NFL Draft Day (this is usually the last weekend of April).
LEAGUE DUES: $50 league fees (50*12=$600) are due on draft day. However, if for some reason you have not paid your league dues by playoff time. Your team will not be eligible, and will forfeit all accumulated winnings.
