Fascism is a disease. Xenophobia is a disease. Sexism is a disease. So is racism, homophobia, nacism, bigotry . . . But the worst disease of all is ignorance, which makes us afraid of the strange, of the unknown. Fear breeds prejudice which can easily turn to hate. Hate breeds discrimination. All forms of discrimination (verbal or physical) are direct threat to a world of equity. Through a constant process of learning we must overcome all our fears.

Although being aware is important, it's not enough. We must become active in all aspects of fighting to prevent the discrimination we face everyday. There is a wide range of activities we can perform: educating ourselves, educating others, getting involved . . . Becoming active and letting others hear our voice, see and feel our deeds means becoming part of the solution. Every step we make forward is important, no matter how small or insignificant it seems. Learn to accept the difference. Revolution is here; it's in us.
