| To my soul sister: We didn't grow up together, friends from the beginning. 2 pig-tailed girls skipping happily together, sharing secrets and laughing over a joke only they could understand. We didnt go through the pain of growing up together, sharing the awkwardness of being a teen on the verge of becoming a woman. We don't have the memories that go back to when we were young and very different from who we are today. We aren't childhood friends, we only just met a few months ago Yet in those months we've helped each other grow We've shared secrets and laughed over private jokes We've been through the awkwardness of being a woman and still feeling like a child at times Together we've felt the pain of growing and changing in many different ways and we've helped each other cope with the changes. We've shared stories of our lives before we met and given each other a glimpse into our own chidhoods. We share a special bond that only true friends can understand. And its not so hard to close my eyes and see two little girls, skipping happily along, hand in hand they go, keeping in perfect step with each other, their hearts beating as one They look a whole lot like you and me. I love u my friend. I think i always have. Dooby....thanks for being my soul sister. COMMENT |
