Pancakes

 

Mexican tortillas

Ingredients:

225 g of corn flour
salt
water

Method

1. Mix the corn flour, salt and water into a soft dough.
2. Pat into round shapes (0,5 cm x 12 cm).
3. Melt a litlle margarine in a frying-pan.
4. Place the tortillas in the hot frying-pan.
5. Turn the tortillas over.
6. Serve at once.

 

How to make Pancakes
Ingredients
1 cup of wheat flour
1 egg
1 cup of milk
1 teaspoon of melted butter or oil
1/4 of teaspoon of salt
a pinch of sugar
Method
Sift the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
Beat and add one egg.
Add the milk.
Stir gradually to make smooth.
Add the melted butter or oil.
Cook in a hot frying pan, flip the pancake when it bubbles, to brown the other side.
Turn it out from the pan on to a plate.
The finished pancake should be almost transparent, crisp and lacy at the edges.
