There are five lifeforms defined at present, which can be summarised as follows:
Lifeform name File Author Authoring language Algorithm
Plant.Plant Plant.DLL Pete Bailey Microsoft C++ Acts randomly
Slob.Slob Slob.DLL Neil Brammall Microsoft C++ Mainly herbivorous, defends intelligently
Tribble.Tribble Tribble.DLL Pete Bailey Microsoft C++ Breeds whenever it can
Trex.Trex Trex.DLL Pete Bailey Microsoft C++ Gets big, then eats things. Can also be herbivorous.
Homo.Sapiens Human.DLL Pete Bailey Microsoft C++ Like TRex, but moves intelligently away from predators and towards prey.

Experiments with these lifeforms show that Human or Trex usually prevails after 500 to 1000 steps. Sometimes there is a large population of Slobs at around step 500, with just one or two large predators; however, given enough steps, the predators usually render the herbivourous Slobs extinct.

It is questionable whther there is a maximum practical lifeform energy level, given the fact that movement is essential, and that it costs "energy level / 40" units to move. In practice, energy levels of 300 for a Trex have been seen.
