in august 2002 i travelled to beius in transylvania, north-west romania, as part of a
habitat for humanity northern ireland global village team. on our way home we had the opportunity to spend some time in budapest, hungary, before flying home. here are some snaps from the trip. sorry, but i can't now remember the names of all the landmarks. you'll have to go see them for yourselves.

i'm quite proud of this one- it was about the only decent photo i took on the trip. it was at a place called statue park, a little outside budapest, where a bunch of enormous communist statues had been gathered from around hungary. that was where i bought my t-shirt that says, "McLenins, a taste of comunism". And yes, communism was spelled with only one 'm'.
