Persian
New Year, Nowrooz, is fast approaching and Persian Society is currently planning a big celebration for New Year, again!
The Society would welcome ideas and suggestions from all of our
members.
E-mail us or post a
message in our guestbook if you're lazy!
Thanks.

The last
CLUB PERSIA, organised after Christmas, proved a hit once again! A good crowd of people, excellent music, and a few drinks here and there! a very enjoyable night.

Hoping you had a great Christmas holiday, Persian Society would like to wish you a great year in 2002.
Please come back and check this page again soon, for news on the latest events organised for you!

Our next BIG event is now being organised by our dedicated members. After the succes of the last few events, the fina
l CLUB PERSIA of 2001 promises to be just as good, if not better than any other event ever organised by us!
The party is taking place on
Friday 30th
November
in the Cabaret Bar, Pleasance at 9pm.
Members will have FREE entry!

Firstly, Persian Society would like to invite you all to the
Edinburgh University Societies Fair during Freshers week. It's a great event and will be held at the Pleasance on the 3rd and 4th of October. If anyone is interested in finding out about Persian Society or would like to help out then come along, we'd love to see you there.

Secondly,
Club Persia will be presenting its first major event of the new academic year on Friday 26th October at the Cabaret Bar, Pleasance. It promises to be a great night again and we're hoping to welcome our new members in style!
The event itself will be free for members and starts at 9pm.

Laser Quest
, Bowling, any other ideas?!
Barely a day past since the last event and your society is planning a new event already! This is promising to be a very popular event for two reasons:
1- It will be
free!
2- It will be our last event this academic year!
We have a few ideas but we are open to new suggestions , so if you have any,
e'mail us!

Club Persia presented its last event on Tuesday 1st of May which once again proved to be a hit. The event was not as busy as it had previously been but those who did turn up had really enjoyed themselves. With University examinations coming up, this was probably the last Club Persia even of the term until at least end of exams.
The night also belonged to our ever-present and smiley secretary
Hirad who is leaving us soon. He will be dearly missed.

The Chahar Shanbeh Sooree and Norouz Ball was a complete success. Everyone had a great time and we received millions of compliments from our guests. We would like to thank anyone who was involved in any way and helped us out.  This is why we founded our socity and there will be many more events organised.  We hope to see you next time.
