| Level 0 spell: Snake Spray This spell conjures a spray of tiny green snakes and has unlimited casting. Each snake, upon successful biting can deliver a poisonous bite of 2 hitpoints. Won't kill target but good for distraction. Higher level spells: Charm One of the few non-offensive spells Salazar knows. If caster's will power is higher than target's; target will trust and obey caster's commands until the duration of this spell wears off. Ring of Fire Caster is surrounded by a ring of fire. Anyone who attacks caster will be horribly burned. Animate Dead The caster selects a nearby corpse and reanimates it to become undead servant. If spell is cast on ground, surrounding corpses in a 2 meter radius become zombies. If cast on single target, corpse becomes dangerous Mummy. Knowledge of Control Undead must be possessed or undead servant could turn against caster. Control Undead Solely depends of the mental will power of caster. A weak zombie does not require much but they are easily defeated. A powerful Mummy requires a Will Power of 40. Salazar's is 84. Cast this spell to control any undead creature. Horrid Wilting Targeted area will be surrounded by deadly fumes that will kill unless targets make a Fortitude save. 50% death probability. If targets survive, they will take a 60% hitpoint damage. Duration of spell is 1 minute and can be cast 4 times a day. However, caster must be 3 meters away from targets for spell to be effective. Word of Death Spell is cast on a single target. 100% death probability unless target is immune to Death Magic or has protection. Those who learned light magic first will suffer a 10% corrupt to their soul each time they use this spell. However, since Salazar learned dark magic first he is immune to the corrupting factor. |
| History: Salazar's tale is not a happy one. His mother was a commoner and his father was of nobility. His parents met while his mother was hexing a group of unfortunate Muggles who had discovered her secret and were about to inform the entire town. She had trapped them in a back alley when Salazar's father arrived suddenly, for he had sensed magic being used. They were both immediately attracted to each other's magic and in secret Salazar's father married her, much to the chargin of her sister, who divined a bad end to their union. True enough, Salazar's grandfather discovered their marriage and was scandalized that his son would wed a commoner. The old baron tried to have her killed but Salazar's father saved her and together they fled. In a rural Muggle village far away, Salazar was born and for seven years the family was in bliss. However, the old baron soon located his disowned son and in bitterness he revealed to the Muggle villiagers that they haboured an evil witch that was causing all their woes and misfortunes. Terrified and dim-witted, they grabbed their pitchforks and attacked, demanding the burning of Salazar's mother. His father would have none of it and was viciously and repeatedly stabbed to death while defending the entrance. Devastated, Salazar's mother retaliated but she was too distraught to effectively kill them all and was captured and burned alive. Salazar would have perished too if not for a huge snake of silver that came to rescue him. It later turned out to be his animagi aunt who had originally divined her sister's tragic end. She vowed to keep her nephew safe, guilt ridden at failing to stop her sister from falling in love with Salazar's father. Salazar was scarred forever and revenge consumed his heart. He began to study killing magic, which was easy for him because his parents had already taught him the basis of dark magic; being wielders of the Dark Arts themselves. So driven by the hunger of vengence he thought of little else; his only goal in life - kill Muggles. At the age of 15 he returned to the village and bestowed a terrible curse. Every single creature was turned into a snake, and the fields became barren and poisonous and the air a noxious fume. He killed a few of them, taking pleasure in watching them die... but then he felt empty, With his vengence now taken, what was he to do? Lost and confused he wandered alone... until he met a fellow wizard lost like him. |
